The Literary and Debating Society aims to nurture creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, and intellectual engagement among students by providing a vibrant platform for literary, cultural, and academic expression. The Society works towards the holistic development of students through a variety of activities and initiatives designed to enhance their creative, analytical, and leadership abilities.

The major roles and objectives of the Society include:

• To create and provide opportunities for students to develop their creative expression, communication, presentation, and public speaking skills through literary, debating, cultural, and performing arts activities.
• To organise activities that encourage students to pursue and nurture their interests in literature, languages, debating, music, dramatics, fine arts, and other creative pursuits.
• To involve students in collaborative and interdisciplinary projects, including inter-departmental and institutional activities, thereby promoting teamwork and peer learning.
• To organise competitions, debates, literary events, cultural programmes, and talent-based activities that motivate students to strive for excellence and achieve awards and recognitions at various levels.
• To invite distinguished speakers, writers, artists, academicians, and external experts to interact with students and faculty members and share their knowledge, experiences, and insights in relevant fields.
• To organise programmes and activities that nurture critical thinking, creativity, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity among students.
• To prepare students for leadership and functional roles in society by developing confidence, social awareness, ethical values, and effective communication skills, thereby enabling them to realise their full potential as responsible and capable individuals.
