Welcome to Bhagini Nivedita College

Established in 1993, Bhagini Nivedita College (BNC) is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, exclusively dedicated to the education and empowerment of women. Funded by the Government of Delhi, the college was set up to cater to the higher educational needs of young women from the rural and semi-urban regions of South West Delhi. The college is named in honour of Sister Nivedita, a devoted disciple of Swami Vivekananda, who dedicated her life to the upliftment and education of Indian women.

One of the youngest constituent colleges of University of Delhi, Bhagini Nivedita College was established in 1993 with a special focus on women’s education. It was formally named after sister Nivedita, the ardent disciple of Swami Vivekananad, who was devoted towards the cause of welfare of women, social reform and empowerment through education. Inspired by Sister Nivedita’s lifelong mission the college aims to provide holistic higher education to young girls to build their capacity to achieve their ambitions while simultaneously honing their cultural and extra-curricular skills.
