About Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB)
The Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) was opened in the Bhagini Nivedita College in 2015-16. The Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB), University of Delhi, provides an opportunity for women students who are unable to pursue regular college education to obtain a University of Delhi degree through a flexible mode of learning. Bhagini Nivedita College functions as an NCWEB Teaching Centre, offering academic support, weekend classes, tutorials, assignments, and examination-related guidance to enrolled students. The Centre is committed to facilitating quality higher education and enabling women learners to pursue their academic goals alongside their personal and professional responsibilities.
Students are advised to regularly visit this page for updates regarding admissions, re-registration, assignments, counselling schedules, examinations, and other important notifications issued by NCWEB.
The college enables thousands of young women, who cannot join regular college for various reasons to attend classes during Saturdays; academic breaks to obtain Undergraduate Degree from the renowned University of Delhi. However, Non-Collegiate students are not allowed to pursue any other full-time course.
Since there is class-room teaching, no written material is given. Students are expected to attend classes regularly as the minimum 66% attendance has been made mandatory to appear in for University Examinations, which are held along with the students of regular colleges. Students are also expected to see the Notice Board for various information displayed from time to time. No individual information is sent by post.
A major advantage of the Non-Collegiate programme of teaching is its low cost and utilization of the existing infrastructure of educational institutions during Saturdays and academic breaks.
The college provides library facility to all under graduate students in the Bhagini Nivedita College.
The Board gives financial aid and book loan facility for the academic year to the needy and deserving students.
The classes are held only on Saturdays and academic breaks of Delhi University. There are 50 teaching days in a year.
At the Under-graduate center, classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are 7 periods in a day.
