The Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Club aims to create awareness, enhance preparedness, and build resilience among students, faculty, and staff to effectively respond to natural and human-induced disasters. The Club works towards fostering a culture of safety and disaster preparedness within the institution and the community.
Roles and Functions of the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Club

Promote awareness on disaster risk reduction, disaster preparedness, and climate resilience among students.

Organise workshops, training programmes, mock drills, and awareness campaigns on disaster management and emergency response.

Build students' capacity in first aid, fire safety, CPR, evacuation, and emergency preparedness.

Encourage campus and community-based disaster risk reduction and resilience-building initiatives.

Promote sustainability through activities related to climate action, waste management, water conservation, and tree plantation.

Collaborate with disaster management authorities, government agencies, and community organisations for capacity building and outreach.

Support institutional disaster preparedness and contribute towards creating a safe and disaster-resilient campus.
