The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of the college is committed to promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and equal participation for differently abled students and staff members. The Cell works towards creating a supportive and barrier-free learning environment within the institution.
The EOC pays special attention to addressing the academic, infrastructural, and support needs of differently abled students by ensuring the availability and maintenance of accessible facilities across the campus.
The Cell monitors and facilitates the provision of facilities such as:
-
Ramps and accessible pathways for easy movement across administrative, teaching, library, and laboratory blocks
-
Accessible and customised restroom facilities
-
Signboards and directions in Braille wherever required
-
Special computer facilities, assistive technologies, and additional software support for differently abled students and staff
-
Other necessary amenities to ensure an inclusive and enabling campus environment
The EOC also conducts feedback surveys among differently abled students at the beginning of each semester to assess their academic and infrastructural requirements and to identify any difficulties faced by them. Based on the feedback received, the Cell undertakes appropriate measures and interventions to address concerns and improve accessibility and support services within the college.
