Established in 1995, the Department of Sanskrit at BNC promotes the appreciation of this rich and scientific language, crucial to the understanding of several Indian cultural, philosophical and religious traditions. The thrust areas of the course are Vedic and Upanishadic, History of Ancient Indian Cultures, Philosophy, Ayurveda, Jyotisha, Vastu, Management, Linguistic, Research and other areas of Indology.

The Sanskrit Department consists of a dedicated team of teachers who are also note-worthy scholars in their field of specialization.
