Established in 1993, Bhagini Nivedita College (BNC) is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, exclusively dedicated to the education and empowerment of women. Funded by the Government of Delhi, the college was set up to cater to the higher educational needs of young women from the rural and semi-urban regions of South West Delhi. The college is named in honour of Sister Nivedita, a devoted disciple of Swami Vivekananda, who dedicated her life to the upliftment and education of Indian women.

The college campus is located near Najafgarh in Kair, offering a serene, green, and pollution-free learning environment, surrounded by farms and trees. Bhagini Nivedita College offers a wide range of undergraduate programmes in Arts, Commerce, and Science, including Honours courses in Hindi, History, Political Science, Physics, and Home Science, along with several Programme courses.

The academic infrastructure of the college is well developed, with a comprehensive library, well-equipped laboratories, computer centres housing more than 100 internet-enabled systems. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and includes facilities such as girls’ common room, canteen, medical room, and a multipurpose hall, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
